If they don’t want to go through the Positive Coaching Alliance training, they will not coach in GBS.

Esry’s senior basketball season included a pair of early games during which she set the record for most points by a Lady Bulldog in a single game, and then broke her uncle’s school record of most points in a game by a player, boy or girl. Numerous players had homework to do and still managed to get to school.

Their home games are April 14-15, 21-22, and May 4-5.

Coach (Melvin) Jenkins, he’s not here no more but he always kept telling me, “Keep faith in what you do”.

“If teams collapse we can kick it out to an outside player who can hit a three or drive or dish it off”, he said. A lot of the concepts and movements in lacrosse are very similar to basketball and soccer, so it really helps players transition I think. “Our bats are starting to come around and everyone’s swing looks good”.

Siraj Dail is looking forward to the conference tournament and said that is every man for himself.

“They control their future”, Persky said. “It also depends on the size of the school but I have been emailing coaches and plan on meeting with them and their players. And I just wanted to add my knowledge to the game with their knowledge and it’s going in the right direction right now”.
