Reba McEntire, Narvel Blackstock Announce Separation

In a joint statement, the couple announce that they have been separated for the past few months, after 26 years of marriage, adding, “Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other”.

While the couple is separating, their rep will not comment on whether they are planning on getting a divorce. “They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time”, the statement read.

McEntire and Blackstock announced Monday, August 3, 2015, they are separating after 26 years of marriage.

The Grammy-winning multi-platinum artist is one of country music’s most popular artists, with No. 1 records in each of the last four decades. She released her newest album, Love Somebody, in April and, in June and July, completed the first part of her Las Vegas residency with Brooks & Dunn.

The two have one son together, Shelby Blackstock, a race vehicle driver.

Reba is a music legend when it comes to the country genre, while Blackstock runs a company that manages Reba, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson (Reba’s daughter-in-law). Blackstock is McEntire’s manager. Narvel Blackstock also has three children from a previous marriage, including Clarkson’s husband, Brandon Blackstock.

But her career career has extended into television, film and theater.

She also starred in her own self-titled sitcom Reba and has acted in multiple movies and Broadway show Annie Get Your Gun in 2001.
