Zooey Deschanel is now a married mother-of-one.

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel welcomed a baby girl on Monday with producer Jacob Pechenik. Gossip Cop would like to congratulate the new parents and newlyweds!

Just to add another string to their bow, the happy couple are working together on an upcoming film called Rock The Kasbah, which also stars Bruce Willis and Bill Murray.

The 35-year-old New Girl actress announced she was expecting her first child with Jacob Pechenik in January, revealing that same month they became engaged to Wednesday.

“Jacob and I are over the moon”.

We may not know the little girl’s name yet, but we do know she’s got some killer lullabies in her future, courtesy of her mom, who sings in the duo She & Him.

“We are going to be surprised”.

Deschanel, 35, and Pechenik, 42, began dating last year after meeting on a movie project. “It’s more fun”, Deschanel said.

The couple had kept the baby’s gender a secret throughout Deschanel’s pregnancy. My sister [Emily] was always very motherly, babysitting and stuff. “Make it into a game!”
