New trailer for Tom Hardy’s Venom finally reveals Venom
Now Venom will have his own movie, and he will be played by the Oscar-nominated Tom Hardy.
This could excite fans who have expressed their disappointment over the first official trailer of Venom, which showed a bit of Hardy’s Brock’s background but fell short on actually showing the iconic character.
Earlier this year, Sony released a teaser trailer for Venom and the feedback…wasn’t so great.
The film is scheduled for release Q4 of 2018. Sony had spoiled much of Spider-Man: Homecoming with its trailers, and it seems to have taken a similar route with Venom. Well within his rights, given Drake is clearly covering up something at Life Foundation, Brock gets into investigative mode to figure out the mysterious situation around him.
Well, maybe the tactic worked, as a new trailer for Sony’s Venom has appeared, and now every single person on the internet wants to see what Venom looks like. Yeah, no. Works in the comic book but if the trailer is anything to go by, Hardy better have done a lot more than what we just saw.
Here we see more of his powers as unwilling host of an alien villain and eventual Spider-Man antagonist. The trailer ends with Brock being enveloped by the alien symbiote as he declares, “We are Venom”.
“Eddie Brock is an incredible character – gritty, real, authentic, funny, but also an embittered character and a truth-teller who has made mistakes”, Tolmach said.
Aside from Hardy, the film’s extremely talented cast includes Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, Woody Harrelson, Jenny Slate, and Reid Scott. That’s why Eddie has Spider-Man’s abilities and looks like a grotesque version of him.
The movie comes from director Ruben Fleischer and is set to premiere on October 5.
