Aranguiz not keen on Leicester
Leicester City are close to completing the transfer of Gokhan Inler from Napoli according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It has been reported by Sky Sports that Leicester have agreed a club record fee for the midfielder of around £10.5 million with Brazilian side Internacional.
He certainly has the right pedigree to fill the void in the Foxes midfield, having won 40 caps for Chile as well as notching up six goals, and recently played a key role in his country’s Copa America triumph.
Inler made 19 appearances for the Naples side in the 2014-2015 campaign.
The Italian newspaper claims the Foxes have lodged a £3.2million bid for Swiss midfielder as they look to replace the departed Esteban Cambiasso.
Aranguiz also explained that he needs to leave Brazil to further his career, and is no doubt aware of the springboard Bayer provided for Arturo Vidal, who left the Germans for Juventus before returning to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.
He said: ‘President told me there’s a bid from Leicester and it’s good for the club but for me, Leverkusen is important. Between Leverkusen and Leicester, the best is Leverkusen; they’re a bigger team. “I am waiting and I am very confident with the club”.
