Boom. Come over here, – Trump comments on 2015 terrorist attack in Paris
The donation took place during the week coinciding with the NRA convention, which was hosted in Dallas, and gained the attention of the organization.
It’s firearms appreciation season again, as Donald Trump and Mike Pence have been delivering speeches for the audience of the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) annual conference.
“I was in a mass shooting in 1992”, when a gunman killed two lawyers, wounded two judges and another person in a Tarrant County Courthouse shooting spree, said Weatherford, Texas, resident Larry Colvin, 59, who emerged uninjured from a deed-and-record room after the attack.
The US president, addressing the National Rifle Association, claimed a London hospital had become overwhelmed with victims of knife attacks. The age limit, however, was not included in the policy agenda.
As Guttenberg spoke, pro-gun supporters heckled him with a bullhorn. Some had signs reading “NEVER AGAIN” and “AR-15 IS A WMD”.
He further added, “They were brutally killed by a small group of terrorists that had guns”. The plan, which has faced quite a bit of criticism, would prevent shootings because they would be in “gun-free zones”, he told the crowd.
Manuel and Patricia Oliver, who lost their son Joaquin in the Florida high school shooting, also came to Dallas. In his speech, Trump didn’t mention the “common sense” gun law reforms he had discussed with victims of the Parkland shooting. “They should have no fear of being shot.”, he said. “That’s how they were raised”.
But Trump’s comments in support of gun rights helped manufacturers mount a rally.
“Cameron, when the president was in that meeting with Democrats and Republicans he castigated the Republicans saying you’re scared of the NRA”.
“The statistics on gun crime victims do not make us want to change this choice”, it said. “We believe in the First Amendment and the Second Amendment”.
According to their Facebook event, their goal is to speak out against the NRA during this time and march for more gun control regulation.
Khan tweeted last month: “If he comes to London, President Trump will experience an open and diverse city that has always chosen unity over division and hope over fear”. During this time the members voted for the 76th Director of the NRA Board.
Comparing the USA to the United Kingdom, he said a top hospital in the capital was like a “military warzone hospital” despite “unbelievable tough gun laws”.
Trump’s remarks didn’t go unnoticed by teen activists.
“Suddenly, we (NRA members) are the problem with America”.
“Your Second Amendment rights are under siege”, the president told the cheering crowd at the convention center. “So lets ban all trucks and vans”.
“People see the NRA for what it stands for”, NRA spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said.
