Mourinho ‘very positive’ that Ferguson will recover
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho said on Wednesday he was “very positive” the club’s former manager Alex Ferguson would return to full health after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
Manchester United will be without Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini for Thursday’s trip to the London Stadium.
“He will start the last match at Old Trafford”, Mourinho said.
Pogba was dropped for a number of games in January and February, with Scott McTominay taking his place in a Premier League game against Huddersfield and the Champions League last-16 second leg against Sevilla.
Despite Mourinho’s pessimism over his staying power at United, he insisted he has never been more content that he is in his current role.
Manchester United have not won their final away match of a Premier League campaign since 2011/12 when they beat Sunderland but lost the title to Manchester City.
Mourinho criticised the attitude of his players following the shock 1-0 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion last time out, but he’s been impressed with their response in training.
A second home win over United in three years would take West Ham, who now sit in 15th place, past the 40-point mark.
Manager Jose Mourinho said the midfielder has qualities “we believe can make him a good coach”. Society is not full of them.
“Manchester United have the Cup Final on their minds, while West Ham can now play without fear and perhaps with a little more freedom”.
“When I arrived, he was playing a few matches per season”, Mourinho told MUTV.
It is claimed PSG have been tempted by the approach and view Pogba as an idea target as they bid to finally win the Champions League with a squad that already includes the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Some guys prefer to go to youth football before they come to the first team but in this case we decided that the bridge could be that bridge. “Aside from this, Jones is back, Sanchez is back and no more issues”.
