Warriors, Rockets advance to National Basketball Association finals
Should this prediction come true and the Warriors win in seven games, that means they did it on the Rockets’ home floor at the end.
On the season, the Rockets are averaging 112.4 points (2nd), 43.5 rebounds (tied 18th) and 21.5 assists (tied 26th). Also, the Warriors have the defense to topple the stars of the Rockets. With the taste of the Western Conference Finals on his tongue, the future Hall of Famer put together a jaw-dropping display of basketball genius.
Paul had 20 of his 41 points in the final quarter to extinguish the Jazz.
The Pelicans had missed by only three points (59-56), but collapsed, despite Anthony Davis’ best scorer at 34 and Jrue Holiday’s 27th.
And Harden, the Rockets’ superstar shooting guard, heaped praise on his influential teammate.
Utah may have lost in five games to the Rockets, but they certainly made things competitive.
The first half was largely dominated by the Rockets, although as they have all series Utah’s defensive resiliency helped them go on runs to sustain their chance of avoiding elimination. Houston has been planning for this showdown for some time now, having built a team capable of competing with the Warriors. It happened in both 2015 and 2016.

This series will be no slouch.
The veteran has hardly been needed to do it all this season due to Harden’s brilliance, but the win was a reminder of the luxuries Houston are equipped with.
“Every series you play, it gets harder and harder and harder”, said Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who is seeking a fourth straight trip to the NBA Finals and third ring in four years.
