Book deal boosts net worth of GOP 2016 candidate Ted Cruz
In a video released today, the Texas senator explains, “We cook bacon a little differently than most folks”, before wrapping a few rashers around the barrel of his gun, securing the whole thing with aluminum foil, and firing off a few clips in a gun range. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) presidential campaign, eager to generate some interest in its message, released an unfortunate video.
During a Fox News Channel interview last month, Cruz described the brash billionaire as “a friend”, applauding his record of “taking on the Washington cartel”.
In March, the sleuths at MUNCHIES brought you news of a curious and perhaps inefficient method that some patriotic Americans are using to cook their bacon: on the barrels of their machine guns.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has a creative way of cooking bacon. The minute-long clip in online here. “Mmm, machine-gun bacon”, he says.
Now, obviously from a public policy standpoint, how Ted Cruz chooses to cook his bacon isn’t particularly important.
Is this really how Texans regularly cook bacon? The far-right senator appears to be firing one bullet with each pull of the trigger.
Since this will invariably become a hit on YouTube, I wonder how many kids are going to steal daddy’s gun and go try this on their own?
Regardless, whether or not this video is better than Cruz’s tryout for “The Simpsons” is a matter of taste.
Real estate mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump’s commanding lead in the Republican field has left many candidates resorting to increasingly outlandish stunts for attention.
