Longtime Cohen Business Partner Agrees to Plea Deal

This is what set up the encounter with Cohen, who spend decades as Trump’s personal lawyer and fixer, it was said.

Freidman faces several charges, including four counts of criminal tax fraud and one grand larceny.

Wood has ordered prosecutors, Cohen and Daniels to submit a joint agenda for the hearing by Friday.

“I am one of thousands of medallion owners who entrust management companies to operate my medallions according to the rules of the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission”, Cohen wrote on his Twitter account. NY medallions, valued at over $1 million apiece as recently as 2014, now sell for about $120,000-mostly through bankruptcy and foreclosure sales. He also took pains to depict the taxi industry as a force for civic good, stating that “my best days” started on September 12, 2001, when people wouldn’t employ “people of color or different ethnicities, and they all became taxi drivers”.

Giuliani, who met with Poroshenko in Ukraine late previous year, said he did not know anything of such payments to Cohen and said he was still getting caught up on the story.

“I disagree and, if I did, I never knew it”, he said.

And I think Michael Cohen is also anxious about everything that this guy knows.

CBS News’ Kylie Atwood reported in June that Poroshenko was leaving Washington feeling that his message was heard by the administration, and that Ukraine had the backing of Mr. Trump. The only thing Cohen can do to save himself is to make his own plea deal. “I’ve already publicly said that this is destroying my life”. Cohen was not registered as a foreign agent of Ukraine under the US Foreign Agents Registration Act when the agreement was inked, the report indicated.

The firm was founded by Tamir Sapir, whose son joined Trump’s 2013 meetings in Moscow under investigation by Mueller, and who maintained a close relationship with Lev Leviev, Chabad’s top donor and a Putin confidante. Trump did not specify the reason for the payment. “They’re phony. There’s no collusion”. Yeah, what goes around comes around, Mr. Trump. Michael Cohen was a major player within that web. And that’s how you bring down a mafia boss, which is essentially what Trump is.

There are so many people who have flipped, and so many more still to come. But, whatever, Spygate plays well on Fox, I guess.
