There has been a ton of reactions to U.S. network ABC’s decision to cancel its popular sitcom Roseanne after its star, Roseanne Barr, tweeted a racist comment about former Barack Obama staffer Valerie Jarrett.

Barr has since stated that she would be addressing the entire controversy on Joe Rogan’s podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience”, this upcoming Friday.

Media company Viacom announced Tuesday evening that it would be pulling reruns of the original sitcom immediately from all of its outlets, including CMT, TV Land and the Paramount Network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Trump tweeted that the CEO of ABC’s parent company called Valerie Jarrett to say the network wouldn’t tolerate Barr’s tweet about her. Trump wrote that CEO Bob Iger never call him to apologize for “the terrible statements” that have been said about him on ABC”.

“I’m not a racist, I never was & I never will be”, Barr tweeted Wednesday, attempting to defend herself against an onslaught of criticism.

She empathised with Trump’s criticism on social media. “And then if her insane tweets came out, she could point to that and say, “But I have taken a step back”. “I blamed myself. not ambien”, she wrote. The actress replied to the user’s statement and said, “I hear you and agree with you I am thankful that they canceled the show”.

Arnold and Barr have been separated for 24 years, which is also the period of time since he worked on the show.

Barr seemed to liken the reaction from her co-stars and those a supporter called “her underlings” to the way Trump complains about members of his administration being “disloyal”.

“I have an idea that I think makes this work for everyone”, he said.

Barr apologized Tuesday to Jarrett and “all Americans” for “making a bad joke about her politics and her looks”.

He called the ABC show’s cancellation a “huge blow” to his network.
