Arrest Made in XXXTentacion Murder

Onfroy’s death on Monday night outside Riva Motorsports motorcycle shop in Pompano Beach sparked an outpouring from fans around the country.

No arrests were made however, XXXTentacion’s death has spurned a variety of reactions.

There’s more – according to the dispatch audio from the shooting, one of the 2 armed men was wearing a red mask. Police records also carried the same language as the arrest report states the murder charge as “murder risky depraved w/o (without) premeditation”. Kidd posted a photo of himself and one of his homies, with a red mask on the headrest of the car’s passenger seat.

Williams went before the judge on Thursday afternoon local time where he was held without bond “due to probable cause”.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed they had detained Dedrick Devonshay Williams. In fact, this murder may have nothing to do with any beef or vendetta. This is what led to internet sleuths to connect Solider Kidd and Solider Jojo to the shooting. It’s unclear whether deputies are searching for another suspect.

Additionally, Williams was hit with a probation violation for previous charges and is being held without bail.

Williams has been repeatedly arrested and had been on probation through 2021 over vehicle theft, according to law enforcement records. He recorded an infamous interview with the rapper in 2016 in which XXXTentacion talks at length about attacking a gay inmate while in prison.

At the time of his death, Onfroy was awaiting trial for allegedly beating his pregnant girlfriend. Later charges included witness tampering.

“I will mourn my child from Monday to Monday, seven days, and after seven days, I will forever celebrate my child’s life, all he accomplished (and) everything and everyone that he touched”, Onfroy said. Friends, family, and babysitters raised the rapper.

The Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, which was prosecuting him for domestic violence, now may drop the case because the defendant is dead. “I think the determination was that he wanted to buy a motorcycle, but [detectives] are not discounting any theory”.
