Meghan Markle opts for feminine power suit in Ireland
Meghan and Harry touched down in Ireland on Tuesday for a two-day visit – their first tour as husband and wife.
Meghan Markle appears to have borrowed fashion advice from her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. The couple’s trip to the Republic of Ireland follows a visit to Northern Ireland in March.
As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue their Ireland visit, the Duchess of Sussex has earned a few new fans.
Michelle Fanara, a former classmate of the Duchess of Sussex has shared a handwritten note she received from Markle 20 years ago.
Harry had changed from his military uniform into a smart suit with an olive green tie.
Harry and Meghan spent an hour at the restaurant, where they enjoyed some traditional Irish cuisine, with the Duchess reportedly sampling a “small glass of Guinness”. “Afterwards, Wickstead cleared the air and said she was “extremely saddened” by her comments and she “[does] not think that her wedding dress was a copy of any of our designs”.
Higgins and Prime Minister Leo Varadkar met with the royal couple separately at the presidential residence and the PM office building. Meghan paired the look with Paul Andrew heels in black suede, diamond earrings from Birks, and a sleek, center-parted bun.
The weather looked good for a garden party, according to a British Embassy tweet. The young royals signed the official visitors’ book at Áras am Úachtaráin.
“As each other’s closest neighbours, the United Kingdom and Ireland’s relationship is unique; our shared history is long and complex”, he said. “Hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future”.
The evening event, held at Glencairn House, boasted a 300-strong guest list and Prince Harry took to the stage to give a touching speech.
During their whirlwind two-day visit, the royal couple also visited the headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association, the Trinity College in Dublin, the Famine Memorial and the Irish Emigration Museum.
