‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ casts Carter Hall, aka Hawkman
The CW has announced that Falk Hantschel has been cast as Hawkman in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
According to a statement released by the network, Hentschel will first appear in the crossover episodes of Arrow & The Flash, then continue in the role on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
Hawkman will be a reincarnation of an Egyptian emperor, who has lived on for centuries alongside his ladylove Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée).
Falk most recently appeared as Arliss Fulton in CBS drama series Reckless, and the feature Transcendence alongside Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall and Morgan Freeman. Both Carter and Kendra will still access their powers through the Egyptian god Horus.
E! managed to get some scoop out of Legends of Tomorrow boss Phil Klemmer about Hawkman and Hawkgirl’s sad fate when we let the actors from the show ask him their burning questions about their character. Whether that sets up the crossover episodes to center on the Legends of Tomorrow characters, or whether it’s just Hawkman who will debut there, isn’t clear. Legends stars The Flash’s Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/one half of Firestorm).
Hentschel had a minor stint in Marvel’s TV universe on “Brokers of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, and has additionally had roles in “White Home Down”, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Knight and Day“.
Hentschel is represented by APA and attorney Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum.
