Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S4
But now, on the Galaxy Tab S4, Dex has morphed into a simpler solution that enables you to switch between a standard tablet mode running pure Android, and a Dex-powered desktop mode that functions like a blend between Chrome OS and Windows 10. You would expect to find it at the back but you won’t because both the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S4 actually don’t have a fingerprint sensor.
“The introduction of this new form factor is expected to bring new energy to the rather stagnated mobile market”, the Samsung official said.
“The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5” is slated for release on August 24, and it will come in Wi-Fi-only and LTE flavors which will cost €329 and €389, respectively.
Unlike the iPad, there’s no 512GB version of the the Android tablet. Compared to the S3, the Tab S4 comes with slimmer bezels on the sides, giving way to more screen space. With the 10th model of the Galaxy S series coming up, many analysts think that we may see the company’s first attempt at a foldable phone to make the milestone.
The bundled in S Pen also offers the ability to write screen-off memos and send personalised texts through Samsung Live Message.
The Galaxy Tab S4 comes packed with a 7,300mAh battery setup. And while it may have the same design and even the same size as the Galaxy Tab S4, that’s really all that they have in common. Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy On8 sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) resolution and 18.5: 9 aspect ratio. How does this translate in numbers? The display of the Tab S4 delivers an immersive experience claims Samsung.
Other Tab S4 features include four speakers, a 13 MP rear camera, and an 8 MP front camera. The Chinese smartphone maker already topped Apple when it comes to smartphone sales last quarter, and it’s no secret that it’ll want to displace Samsung from that top spot in the near future.
Daily Board turns your tablet into something like the Amazon Echo Show, so it shows useful info like weather when attached to a dock. There are several new features on board the new Tab S4, though.
As such, Samsung has introduced an accompanying Book Cover Keyboard (sold separately) which frees users up to type as though they’re using a laptop. Families can also use Multi User Mode on the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 to create various accounts on the same device, such as one account for a child with separate accounts for the parents for greater functionality on a single tablet. You can even connect a Bluetooth mouse, and move around brower windows easily – we’re talking multiple, resizable windows. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is priced at $650 for the 64GB variant and $750 for 256GB.
