President Trump insults LeBron James’ intelligence
LeBron James has made the playoffs every year since the 2005-06 campaign.
Trump may have even been among the first to label LeBron James a “clutch performer”, amid criticism the former Cav was prone to passing up game winning shots.
Lemon asked James if he would run for president in 2020 if there was no one else nominated who could beat Donald Trump.

Earlier this week, James celebrated the opening of the new I Promise School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
He suggested that since James no longer resides or represents a swing state in OH and has moved to the state of California which is essentially a lost cause, Trump can say what he feels. James, who has previously called Trump a “bum,” and Lemon are yet to respond.
“Well, in that case, I may”, James said.
James said Trump is creating a wedge by using situations like National Football League player Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the anthem and “uninviting” NBA star Steph Curry to the White House.
Other players from around the league, including Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns and Utah’s Donovan Mitchell, came to James’ defense on social media. James is not one to let something go quietly and neither is Trump. Lemon asked James if he had any aspirations of running for office.
Most of the interview focused on other matters, particularly James’s efforts in OH to create an elementary school with an eye toward helping kids get their lives on track.
James recently founded a new school for disadvantaged children.. In September 2017, the President rescinded an invitation to the Golden State Warriors to celebrate their basketball championship with a visit to the White House.
This issue appears to be far from over, and it would not be surprising to see personalities get involved over the next couple of days.
