Now, CBS News has tape from Manigault Newman of Trump’s advisers during the 2016 campaign allegedly discussing the president’s use of the n-word.

A campaign official said the action was filed with the American Arbitration Association. Manigault Newman hasn’t proved her claim, but the Trump team has proved that it protests too much – and that it doesn’t have its story straight. But his use of the phrase to characterize an African-American woman stands to complicate his denial of using racist language. After Mr. Berman pointed out that the president has also called white people and men “dogs”, Ms. Wilson conceded that “you should not call anyone dogs”.
