Trevor Noah: ‘Omarosa! How Can You Say That About The President … ?’
Trump’s White House has always amounted to an irregular workplace, sometimes proudly so. She and General Kelly may have completely different pasts, but they have exactly the same future.
President Donald Trump’s White House required aides to sign highly-restrictive non-disclosure agreements meant to prevent them from writing the kind of tell-all books about Trump or Vice President Mike Pence.
Now, CBS News has tape from Manigault Newman of Trump’s advisers during the 2016 campaign allegedly discussing the president’s use of the n-word.
“I don’t know. I’m going to watch to see”, Manigault Newsman said Monday when asked on MSNBC whether she would make more of her recordings public. A campaign official said the action was filed with the American Arbitration Association. On the late-night shows, every host had a take on Omarosa’s claims, her new book, the alleged tapes, and Donald Trump’s reactions on Twitter yesterday.
Manigault Newman hasn’t proved her claim, but the Trump team has proved that it protests too much – and that it doesn’t have its story straight. But his use of the phrase to characterize an African-American woman stands to complicate his denial of using racist language. After Mr. Berman pointed out that the president has also called white people and men “dogs”, Ms. Wilson conceded that “you should not call anyone dogs”. Trump went on a Twitter tear against Strzok today, which included some new jabs at Attorney General Jeff Sessions over the Russian Federation “witch hunt”. While the rest of us have been biding our time, awaiting the Mueller report and the next season of Game of Thrones, the 44-year-old reality TV star turned White House official turned anti-Trump crusader has managed to drive a truck right through our dulled senses, and right to the bank. She has also released several audio recordings of conversations she had with Trump and campaign aides.
The recording played on CBS on Tuesday morning (Wednesday NZT) purportedly includes the voices of Patton and Pierson. CBS said it has not confirmed the authenticity of the tape.
“It must have been something very, very sensitive”, Manigault Newman wrote, according to an excerpt of the book obtained by The Washington Post.
Pierson: “He said. No, he said it”.
What is contained in the remainder of Manigault Newman’s tapes is a mystery, at least for now. “The first thing I noticed was that people on his staff kept slipping up and calling him president – accidentally sometimes”. “He has taken this country to its knees”.
President Trump boards Marine One on the South Lawn on August 4. “I can’t stand @OMAROSA a bully, back stabber & big mouth. She’s not a friend; she’s a liar, and I would say she’s evil”. “But I will not stand by and allow her to continue to tarnish everyone’s reputation and hurt the one person who made her what she is in the celebrity world”.
Trump, for instance, said that Mitt Romney “choked like a dog” when he ran for president.

Manigault Newman also claims in the book there may have been a hidden symbolism to the white Christian Dior pant suit that Melania wore to her husband’s State of the Union address in January.
