Reba McEntire + Narvel Blackstock Split After 26 Years of Marriage

After 26 years of marriage, Reba McEntire and her husband Narvel Blackstock have announced their separation.

As reported by Us Weekly, the press statement noted that despite their marriage ending, they will continue to support each other, and they will remain professional partners.

However, the couple assured fans that they will continue to work together just like what they have been doing for the past 35 years.

The Kiowa High School graduate, who comes from a prominent rodeo family, was discovered by entertainer Red Steagall when she sang the national anthem at the National Rodeo Finals in Oklahoma City on December 10, 1974.

Blackstock and Reba had one child together, son Shelby, who was born in 1990. They reportedly attended the Academy of Country Music Awards in Texas at the time after McEntire’s “Love Somebody” album debuted a No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The country superstar, 60, confirmed the news on her website. Both McEntire and Blackstock were previously married.
