Londonderry families trapped in Kerala flood
The loss incurred to private and public properties in Kerala due to the floods is estimated at Rs 19,512 Crore.
The massive floods in Kerala have been declared a calamity of severe nature, the Home Ministry said on Monday.

Federal health minister JP Nadda said more than 3,500 medical camps were set up across a region roughly the size of Switzerland, where rains since August 8 have swelled rivers and triggered landslides.
Many appreciated the ad and praised the company for encouraging the people of Kerala during the time of distress.
Ramesh Chennithala had demanded handing over of relief works to the army.

More than 7 lakh people have been displaced by the worst natural calamity the state has witnessed in a century.
Frayer reports that a red alert for flooding in the areas has been lifted and Kerala’s chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan says the flooding “is under control”. An emotional appeal by the Chengannur MLA Saji Cherian, who during a TV interview claimed that several thousand would lose their lives in his constituency if the centre failed to provide timely aid to rescue those stranded for days amidst the flooding.
