Rumours on iPhone XS Max
The company sent an invite for the event, and a device believed to be the iPhone 9 has been certified in China, which we’d expect to happen shortly before launch. However, a new report by 9to5Mac suggests that Apple might ditch the Plus branding and instead call the rumoured 6.5-inch OLED iPhone the “iPhone XS Max”.
A new seven-minute video uploaded by Michael Kukielka on his DetroitBORG YouTube channel featuring a two prototype 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch iPhone XS alongside the iPhone X.
These aren’t functional devices, but they look identical to 6.1-inch iPhone dummy units seen in previous leaks. Interestingly, Apple’s event invite also features the same gold colour, thereby confirming that the iPhone will feature the new gold and black blend. The latest rumors point to the new iPhones being available in red, white, blue, orange, gray, and gold. However, unlike iPhone X and other OLED screen models that will be released this year, the LCD screen model would feature an Aluminium casing which is most likely a move for keeping the pricing to be minimum. Some expect Apple to keep with tradition and release iOS 12 the same day as the event. Let us know in the comments section below. Converting to Indian rupees, this comes to Rs 57,364 for the iPhone Xs, Rs 71,723 for the iPhone Xs Max and Rs 50,184 for the iPhone 9.
Apple is likely to continue with the standard screen sizes for iPad, i.e., 9.7 inches and 12.9 inches. 3GB of RAM is expected here too, and a single rear camera as opposed to twin shooters with a 2700mAh battery is also said to be under the hood.
The next Apple Watch is rumored to have a larger display. The OLED models could arrive in the $899-949 price range. Now, another report predicting the prices of the new iPhones is out.
Apple Watch Series 4 will have a 384×480 pixels resolution on the 42mm-sized dial which is slightly more dense than the 312×390 pixels display on last year’s watchOS wearable.
A recent report by Macerkopof further reveals that this would be the cheapest of the three iPhones, and would be priced at around $699.
Since the iPhone 6, Apple has offered two size options with the larger carrying the Plus moniker. The company will likely insist on pronouncing it “the Ten Ess”, but most of us will end up reading it as it’s written and referring to it as “the Excess”.
The new MacBook series is reportedly going to be available in 12-inch and 13-inch versions starting at $999 (about Rs 71673).
