Family Feud Looms Funeral of Bobbi Kristina Brown
Bobbi Brown’s wife, Alicia Kristina, was hospitalized on Saturday night after she suffered a seizure.
Leolah Brown said she believes Gordon was involved in the death of her niece.
Leolah Brown, a sister of Bobbi Kristina’s father, singer Bobby Brown, exited early from the almost three-hour funeral service at St. James United Methodist Church.
Brown was discovered unconscious January 31 by boyfriend Nick Gordon in a bathroom of the Georgia home they shared; she died July 26. Bobbi Kristina’s death was grimly similar to the way her megastar mother died three years ago.
While the circumstances that preceded Brown’s death have been classified as a criminal investigation, the family remains embroiled in controversy.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobbi Brown, died last Sunday. A photo of her mother was next to her casket during the service, while Monica and CeCe Winans – who also performed at Houston’s memorial – sang one of her hits, Jesus Loves Me.
Private security is already watching Bobbi Kristina’s grave site, the location where her mother Whitney Houston is buried.
The body of Bobbi Kristina Brown is scheduled to arrive at Whigham Funeral Home by 9:30 a.m., according to a source with knowledge of the arrangements.
On Saturday, she was remembered in a private service. Four men dressed in black suits carried the coffin into the church. The mourners reportedly arrived in a motorcade of limousines, led by police motorcycles.
Alpharetta police say they were assisted by more than a dozen state troopers to manage traffic and shut down lanes to accommodate parking around the church where the service was being held. A procession of dozens of cars followed. She never regained consciousness after the incident, and her months of medical care exposed family rifts that never seemed to heal.
