Google Lens Coming to Image Search; Activity Cards Will Save Previous Searches
Google’s image search is getting enhancements. Google has also made some upgrades such as now the users will be able to import content from activity cards directly to Collections.
Its first Doodle was created before the company was even incorporated. And it’s doubling down on visual.
Lots of people are confused as to why Google is celebrating its birthday today! “Now, there are hundreds of billions of pages”. Google is not only known as a search engine but also as a better technology company.
While searching for certain topics gets you similar content through Discover, Google will allow users to control how often they might want to see a particular subject on Discover.
We all will agree that Google Lens is one of the niftiest camera features out there.
Ben Gomes, vice president of Search, News and Assistant at Google, said the aim of the updates was to keeping improving the search engine for the next 20 years. With this new feature, it will feel like the search engine is more helpful, instead of being creepy. If you search for information about jobs, you’ll see some training programs, as well as available jobs in your area. Twenty years later, Google is the third most valuable brand in the world – by at least one metric – and Android Police’s raison d’être. Google says Discover won’t only be for new content either. You will be shown content in the language you prefer.
Lastly, they are bringing Google Lens to Google Images, which analyzes images and finds objects of interest within them. Things will look a little different with a new asterisk icon in the trademark Google colors to signify the Discover tab in the Google mobile app.
The familiar Google Doodle, which usually relates to a holiday or fun fact, is a clickable video. It is also doubling down on visual stories in mobile.
This year’s Google Doodle features letter-shaped balloons attached to a gift box.
There are also 17 Google searches that trigger new easter eggs that say, “It’s 2018!”
Another new feature is the ability to save search results directly from the activity cards in the collections and to recommend related links. The company is starting with a test in Virginia.
