Watch Ted Cruz Cook Bacon With A Gun
Huffington Post reported on a campaign video by Sen. On Monday afternoon, the Texas Senator released a sizzling new video – courtesy of IJ Review – showing off a wacky new method for cooking bacon.
You can see Cruz wrap the bacon around the barrel of the gun, top it with aluminum foil and fire away.
In the video Cruz, who is hoping to become the Republican candidate for the White House, is shown applying the bacon directly to the barrel of his gun.
Now, obviously from a public policy standpoint, how Ted Cruz chooses to cook his bacon isn’t particularly important.
“There are few things I enjoy more than on weekends, cooking breakfast with the family”, he vocal fries at the beginning. “Mmm, machine-gun bacon”, he says.
Most Americans, and most Texans, cook bacon in a frying pan, presumably to minimize the risk of a stray bullet hitting somebody else in the household. More knowledgeable sources can (and should) check me on this, but I was under the impression that machine guns are fully automatic, firing bullets quickly.
Cruz’s disclosure said he received a payment of $318,750 in June 2014 for his book, “A Time for Truth”. The far-right senator appears to be firing one bullet with each pull of the trigger.
The report shows Cruz’s overall wealth only increased slightly from his most recent disclosure, which he filed in 2013 as a member of the Senate.
Regardless, whether or not this video is better than Cruz’s tryout for “The Simpsons” is a matter of taste. Much of the attention is expected to fall on businessman Donald Trump, who is the front-runner in Republican polls.
And so we’ve reached the curious combination of candidates, chainsaws, and raw meat on gun barrels.
