Chevrolet Upgrades Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition for 2016
It can be had with the same models as the Midnight Edition, but you’ll also have to wait a month or so for official price tags to be announced, as the two editions will go on sale this fall.
The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado is getting two special-edition models, the Midnight Edition, and the tough-sounding Trail Boss. Pricing for the new package has yet to be announced.
The Colorado Midnight, similar to the Silverado Midnight edition, comes in all black, including the grille, bowtie emblem and 18-inch aluminum wheels. Along with the aforementioned updates, new for 2016 is the Colorado Midnight Edition, giving the hot-selling pickup some added visual attitude like that of its big brother, the Silverado Midnight Edition. “As the Colorado continues to win over new customers, the new Midnight Edition and Z71 Trail Boss give them more choices and build on segment-leading capabilities and efficiency”. The bed gets a spray-on bedliner and a soft folding tonneau cover that is black. Those enhancements include black 17-inch wheels with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTec 265/65R 17 all-terrain tires. Like the Midnight edition, the Z71 Trail Boss also has a black bowtie emblem and spray-on bedliner, while the interior gets a set of all-weather floor mats. It will also offer all three of the available engine choices, meaning the entry-level 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder, the powerful 3.6-liter V-6 or the all-new baby Duramax (a turbo-diesel 2.8-liter 16-valve inline four-cylinder). The new appearance package darkens the overall appearance of the popular midsize pickup truck. To get the package, you’ll have to buy a Colorado LT with either an extended or crew cab body.
The other package will be the Chevrolet Colorado Z71 package. Chevrolet provides customers with fuel-efficient vehicles that feature engaging performance, design that makes the heart beat, passive and active safety features and easy-to-use technology, all at a value.
