Beyoncé set to step out in Eccleshall designer’s £200000 stilettos
Which is why it should come as no surprise that Queen Bey dropped a cool £200,000 on a pair of shoes recently. But is she the first, or the worst, celebrity big-spender?
Not doing anything by halves, the 34-year-old has shelled out a whopping £200,000 on one pair of heels, which are encrusted with more diamonds than a glass cabinet at Tiffany’s and accentuated with 18-carat white gold. Christopher Shellis, owner of House of Borgezie, told the paper that Queen Bey had purchased the appropriately regal Princess Constellation shoes “for her next video which should be out in the autumn”.
But she didn’t stop there – she’s also said to have snapped up a matching basque belt, which features 362 diamonds and has a £55,000 price tag. They’re a bit like the 1960s E Type Jag – it doesn’t matter what you do, youre not going to improve on them.
Beyonce’s people are said to have contacted Shellis, who is based in Birmingham’s jeweller quarter, after seeing an article about him in the US press, reports the Birmingham Mail. If you want someone to model your creations, you cant get any better than Beyoncé. So as much as we love Beyoncé’s killer dance moves, once her next video debuts, all eyes will be on her exceptionally sparkly feet.
He added: “They are the crown jewels of stilettos”.
“Occasionally in a designer or artists life there may come a moment in time when you stand back and realise you may just have created your finest work so far”.
