Cowell congratulates Malik on record deal
Twitter users, particularly One Directioners, quickly reacted to his post.
However, the singer took to his Twitter account to announce his new record deal and reveal the real reason behind splitting from the British band. He added that “it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am!” Several rumors were swirling claiming he had cheated on his fiancee Perrie Edwards at the time.
Former American Idol judge and X Factor judge Simon Cowell also tweeted about Malik’s move.
Zayn’s former One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have kept quiet about the news but it seems that relations between the boys are still good.
The music mogul said they had been working on the deal with the new label – still an imprint of Sony – for a while.
That might be a problem. Translation: Don’t worry about Zayn Malik’s net worth. “Some of the pop star rappers are a little cringe, and he doesn’t want that”. US Magazine reported that Malik even retweeted one of those who took offense: “You are stupid”. For starters, he appears to have dumped the unpopular Naughty Boy before moving on to RCA. Its impressive roster includes the likes of Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus and Shakira. Simon Cowell wrote in another tweet.
Other fans, however, spoke up for Malik.
The Daily Mail said One Direction fans were divided over Zayn Malik’s latest move to make “real music”.
Individually speaking, what Zayn has going for him is a strong, soulful voice.
Malik, considered the “quiet, mysterious” member while he was with the group, was born Zain Javadd Malik in 1993 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England.
Don’t worry though, because the original (and the best) Bradford Bad Boi HAS clarified what he really meant by ‘#realmusic’, tweeting ‘#REALME’. After Zayn quit One Direction in March, Naughty Boy swooped in and started helping Zayn create his own music, while simultaneously dissing 1D every chance he got.
