Clowney’s father charged with attempted murder
NFL star Jadeveon Clowney’s father got busted for attempted murder following a wild west style shooting outside a South Carolina strip club.
Mark Bollinger says David Morgan additionally was charged with possession of a weapon throughout a violent crime.
According to a Rock Hill Police report, officers were called to the insane Horse, in Rock Hill, around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday morning. If he is ultimately convicted on the attempted murder charge, Morgan could face up to 30 years in prison. However, the paper says Morgan was present when Clowney announced that he was going to play football at the University of South Carolina.
David Morgan, who goes by the nickname “Chili Bean”, allegedly fired several shots at an employee who works at the mad Horse Showclub in Rock Hill after he had been removed from sitting on the stage. Later the victim noticed that Morgan was standing near a wall at the back of the property, when the victim said that Morgan crouched and fired several shots at him.
Morgan was at a hospital being treated for a gunshot wound in his shoulder when police detained him. Bollinger said Tuesday that Morgan is in custody and awaiting a bond hearing. He is now on the inactive list while recovering from the knee surgery that ended his rookie season. His previous convictions include assault and battery and burglary.
