Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are divorcing
No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani filed for divorce Monday from musician Gavin Rossdale.
Rossdale, 49, filed his response on the similar time and in addition requested for joint custody, TMZ reported.
The announcement that the possibly iconic No Doubt frontwoman turned pop diva and fashion plate could not achieve marital bliss with the not-at-all iconic, but still somewhat talented and very handsome Bush frontman took a toll on anyone who believed love could overcome the rigours of living life in the tabloid spotlight. “Look at their hands, so firmly clasped as they partake in a lovers’ stroll”.
Stefani and Rossdale married in 2002 after meeting while their bands were on tour in 1995.
Stefani added, “Thank goodness for, like, FaceTime and all that, but it all works out and I just feel really blessed… there are so many fun things that I get to do right now and it’s like a whole new chapter for me”. “I think parts of it are, and parts of it are pulling from the past… but things are really good with me and Gavin if everyone is wondering”.
“Gavin always denied anything inappropriate”, the source continued, “but her friends warned her that it seemed like there was something going on”. She has chosen to refuse Rossdale’s spousal support.
In her divorce petition, Stefani, 45, cited irreconcilable differences and asked for joint custody of the couple’s three children, 9-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma and 1-year-old Apollo, celebrity websites TMZ and People.com said.
