Jadeveon Clowney’s father charged with attempted murder
A Rock Hill man, believed to be the father of former USC football star and Rock Hill native Jadeveon Clowney, was reportedly shot in the parking lot of a Rock Hill strip club early Tuesday morning.
David Morgan, who served time in prison while Clowney was a teenager, allegedly took aim at the victim Tuesday morning outside the insane Horse club in Rock Hill, The Herald reports.
According to cops, Morgan was hanging out near the rear exit of the club… and opened fire on another man who was standing out there. If convicted, he could face up to thirty years in prison. He’s still behind bars… with a bail hearing set for Wednesday.

Morgan was arrested after being treated for a gunshot wound to his shoulder at a local hospital. The authorities say they located Morgan at the Piedmont Medical Center and charged him with both attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Morgan missed most of those came, however, having spent several years in prison on charges ranging from trespassing to assault and battery to burglary. After a three-year career at the University of South Carolina (including a unanimous All-American campaign in 2012), he was selected by the Texans with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
