Emma Watson says she feels ‘like an imposter’

Not only has Emma succeeded with her film career after graduating from the massive Harry Potter franchise, she also has taken a few worthy causes under her wing, including the HeForShe campaign. After 14 years, the actress still has not come to terms with her fame and skills. Last September the actress launched the HeForShe gender equality crusade in front of the United Nations in New York.

Emma Watson will become the cover star of the September issue of the popular style and fashion magazine Vogue. She admits,”It’s something I’ve really wrestled with…” Watson told Vogue.

“When I was younger, I just did it. I just acted”.

However, the “Perks Of Being A Wallflower” star feels “a sense of peace” since taking on her most important role as United Nations Women Goodwill Ambassador.

“[N]ow when I receive recognition for my acting, I feel incredibly uncomfortable. I feel like an imposter … it was just something I did”. On the cover, underneath her name, it says, “Voice of a generation, ‘ and we couldn’t think of a more ideal headline”. And then I Skyped a friend who said, ‘Go through it again and ask yourself, if you were hit by a bus tomorrow, would you be comfortable with every single line?’.

Following the advice, Watson delivered an inspiring speech and is happy she was chosen as a goodwill ambassador.

“Everything clicked into place, in a way that it hadn’t before”, she said of the campaign.

‘I understood what I’m here to do and knew where to channel all this energy that has been coming at me.

The actress revealed that her role within the UN has given her a sense of goal which she lacked before. “People say that I’m different since I did it”.
