Ronda Rousey to play herself in movie about her life
Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight champion Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey insisted she is open to facing Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino, but in her own terms. Rousey is scheduled to fight once more before filming Peter Berg’s action film Mile 22 in January, opposite Mark Wahlberg. In a post-fight interview with Fox’s Ariel Helwani, Rousey reiterated her stance that Cyborg should be the one to make her weight, especially considering that UFC doesn’t have a 145-pound female division. And as she walked away victorious, Rousey used the exact same words to Correia, “Don’t cry”.
White also said that UFC 190 was trending bigger than UFC 189. Ronda just gets better every time she fights. She’s just got to make weight.
Ronda will now face Meisha Tate in her next match.
“I would beat the crap out of Kim Kardashian, actually”, Rousey said at an ESPN Body Issue party.
“I planned to, instead of forcing into a clinch, overwhelm her with striking first so she would want to clinch – and that’s exactly what happened”, said “The Expendables 2″ star. She has made it clear, however, that acting will not interfere with her strict training regimen leading up to a fight. The judges felt differently, though, and Jedrzejczyk had her hand raised and then moved on the capture the UFC title in her next bout. I’m not going anywhere.
Many of her fans share Rousey’s sentiments, with majority celebrities.
Rousey has fought Tate twice and defeated her both times with an armbar.
However, if Rousey can keep capturing the sporting world’s full-blown attention with continued dominant performances, the question may quickly become an after-thought. I hope that nobody really rips on my family anymore when it comes to my fights.
“I think Miesha is one of my greatest challenges because she already has an idea what she’s getting in there with”.
