Vic runaway groom’s wife still loves him
Murat Shomshe may have been dubbed Melbourne’s “runaway groom” too soon, as doubt is cast over whether he’s actually married.
He is due to appear in the County Court of Victoria at 2.15pm on the same day on bail-related charges. “The fact that there is a complainant who is probably justified to be in fear, and the fact [Shomshe] has convictions for possessing prohibited weapons”, Judge Maidment said before imposing strict bail conditions.
Police have urged him to hand himself in.

Duleski was set to lose $10,000 she put up as bail money after Shomshe made his temporary escape. “She was not aware of what was going on”, Dulevski’s mother tells the Herald Sunday. Shomshe was meant to surrender to the court last Monday in order to return to custody but instead fled, while his bride, Belinda Duleski, was in the shower.

Police Association Secretary Ron Iddles said: “Not only has the bride been jilted, I think the judge has been jilted also”.
‘To everybody involved in the criminal justice system, it’s our job to learn from every one of these cases.’.
