Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Trailer Teases More For Tomorrow’s Gamescom Press
Sarah Jansson, producer of the game at EA, said, “Faith is unique because she doesn’t need guns or super powers”. Faith crosses whole blocks rather than just rooftops, and infiltrates buildings seamlessly by sneaking through windows.
Electronic Arts showed off Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst today at its Gamescom 2015 press briefing in Cologne, Germany.
“Catalyst” will also have a multiplayer feature in which player actions affect the open-world for other players.
As said by a previous report from Gamepur, DICE’s narrative director Christofer Ermgard revealed several new details for “Mirror’s Edge Catalyst’s” story, stating that game itself is a “re-imagining” of the very first “Mirror’s Edge” title. This, in itself, is great news now that our gaming appetites are out of control.
With a focus on the movement through the environments again and less on battle hopefully Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will focus on what the first game did best. But before we know it, the Mirror’s Edge of old has emerged, as Faith starts kicking and punching her way out of the facility, jumping over tables, narrowly avoiding bullets and bursting through windows.
Not too long to wait for this one, as Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is set to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 23, 2016.
