Will John Cena miss WWE Monday Night RAW? Athlete has emergency surgery
WWE is absolutely committed to the Divas Revolution, a sit-down between Cesaro and Kevin Owens leading up to their SummerSlam match and a great tribute to the late Roddy Piper.
Through nothing of his own doing, the momentum Seth Rollins has lived on has come a screeching halt.
WWE was back on the west coast for Raw on Monday night in San Jose, a stone’s throw away from where WrestleMania 31 took place in April.
Per reports from the Wrestlezone, Cena underwent emergency surgery on his nose to correct breathing issues, although more surgeries that include possible nose reconstruction may be needed.
Seth Rollins appeared on Monday Night RAW this week and challenged John Cena to a winner-take-all title-for-title match at SummerSlam. Alicia Fox apparently suffered a concussion last week, which could put Brie or WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella in a guaranteed match tonight. With “two caveats”, that the challenger be under 6 feet tall and under 200 lbs. They tease El Torito, but Neville accepts.
Now consider we have no one else on the WWE roster like this, not even the guy they try to book that way. I think the fans would be more acceptable of that and the potential outcome rather than see Cena not only win the WWE World Title, but become a 16-time world champion – matching the mark Ric Flair has held over the years. My highlights were the Rollins vs. Neville match and the in-ring segment with Paul Heyman, and the rest of the show was okay to good, with no filler to tick me off. 7 out of 10 is my final score. Neville ends up knocking Rollins out of the ring. Sheamus then wanders into Bray’s dark room and says he has a Brogue Kick with Randy Orton’s name on it. Wyatt says the enemy of his enemy is his friend, so Sheamus is his friend for the night. It looks like he won’t appear on Raw, so we’ll see what happens with Seth Rollins tonight.
This time, Rollins must find solid footing and take down the Cena. 1-2-3. Rollins wins and retains.
The Ascension and The New Day defeat The Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores when Xavier Woods helps distract Kalisto, who eats Kofi Kingston’s Trouble in Paradise. On that note, we head to another commercial break.
While the dip in viewership can’t all be placed on The Architect’s shoulders and the creative team definitely deserves a lot of it, Vince McMahon has shown himself to be very impatient when things aren’t going right with a new face on top of the WWE. The Prime Time Players were on commentary.
