Father of Texans DE Jadeveon Clowney charged with attempted murder
Morgan was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and will be in court for a bond hearing at 2 p.m. today, court officials said.
The incident occurred at 2:15 a.m. EDT on Tuesday morning outside the insane Horse Showclub in Rock Hill.
Morgan, who goes by the nickname “Chili Bean”, allegedly fired shots at an employee of mad Horse, a local strip club.
Morgan could face up to 30 years in prison on the attempted murder charge and up to five years on the weapons charge. Later the victim noticed that Morgan was standing near a wall at the back of the property, when the victim said that Morgan crouched and fired several shots at him. Police say Homesley returned hearth.
Officers later found Morgan at the Piedmont Medical Center, where he was receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Just when it seemed things were looking up for Houston Texans’ defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, he received some bad news on the family front … In 1995, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison after a second-degree burglary conviction. Morgan was in prison while his son was playing football for South Pointe High in Rock Hill.
Jadeveon Clowney reportedly grew up in Rock Hill before going on to the University of South Carolina and was the first draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2014.
