Android One finally rolls out in Thailand
The handset features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Being on the Android One platform, the colour accuracy and brightness of the smartphone is up to 300% better than the industry average. Residents in Thailand can now get their hands on the new i-mobile iQ II smartphone for 4,444 THB (~$126 USD) from the manufacturer’s website. Perhaps most importantly, it features hardware that’s been tested by Google and guaranteed to play well with the latest versions of Android. Google says that it’ll receive an update to the next version of Android – aka Android M – shortly after the update is released, which is slated to happen this fall.
Android One is now available in numerous countries in Asia like the Philippines, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan and recently, in Thailand.
Google has announced the launch of the first smartphone for Thailand based on the company’s Android One initiative. Aside from the screen size, the iQ II also comes equipped with 16GB of internal storage as well expandable storage up to a 32GB microSD card.
