Mafia III reveal trailer takes us back to 1968
It’s been five years since the release of Mafia II, which followed the story of 1950’s American gangsters.
After finally confirming Mafia 3 last week, 2K Games has officially brought forth the first actual video for the open-world action-adventure experience during Gamescom 2015, showcasing about 4 minutes of cinematic sequences from the title.
Mafia III is set in a re-imagined New Orleans, which has become a haven for organized crime in the wake of the Vietnam war.
Mafia III from new development studio Hanger 13 will launch in 2016 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, 2K has announced. He is half white and half black, and is willing to do anything for his family. This version of New Orleans is bustling with activity, complete with era-inspired cars, fashion and music.
The game will tackle sensitive issues like violent racism. Gone are the sharply dressed mafia-men, instead replaced by an orphaned war veteran.
Throughout the game you build your own crime empire. These characters will play the role of Clay’s lieutenants, help him unlock different abilities and will betray him if they feel Clay is not doing enough for them.
