Sunderland Hold Positive Talks With Man Utd Over Adnan Januzaj
Sunderland know better than most what Januzaj is capable of.
United boss Louis van Gaal said recently that he had been impressed by the winger in pre-season and would use him as a central striker, but with the Red Devils closing in on Pedro from Barcelona, that could lead to Januzaj leaving.
However the Sunderland Echo claim that a deal is pretty close.
According to the Telegraph, Belgian midfielder Adnan Januzaj has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and could complete a season long loan move to Sunderland this week.
Sunderland are also working on deals for Leroy Fer and Yann M’Vila.
Manchester United are still in the market for forwards and Januzaj could be loaned out if they manage to secure their targets before the transfer window slams shut on 1st September.
The Black cats are on the look out for an attacking midfielder and Januzaj fits the bill.
The 20-year-old burst onto the scene with a brace of goals in his full senior Premier League debut back in October 2013 but the young attacker has struggled to retain a foot-hold in the Man United first-team set-up.
Danny Welbeck, Jonny Evans and Danny Rose have all established themselves at their parent clubs after stints with Sunderland.
