Man hit by his own vehicle during road rage incident
Video of the hit-and-run incident shows victim Tracy Leavitt talking to one of his attackers.
Strangely, in the course of the initial road rage that started this fight, one of the guys fighting with Leavitt stole his vehicle.
Mr Leavitt’s auto had been used to run him over as he had a confrontation with two other men.
On Friday, officers responding to a call of a verbal disturbance in the 1400 block of S. Gilbert Street discovered a 53-year-old man lying in the street, according to a post on the Hemet Police Department’s Facebook page.
A bystander captured horrifying video of a road rage argument that escalated into one man allegedly stealing a grandfather’s auto and running him over in the street.
California police officials later arrived at the scene and rushed Leavitt to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
After Leavitt was hit with his own auto during a road rage confrontation, his family and friends set up a Go Fund Me page. Witness video caught both suspects fleeing in a white Ford Ranger pick-up truck, which is believed to have a broken rear cab window and a broken driver’s side window.
‘I can’t understand it. “I cannot understand why they would want to do that”, she said.
“Yesterday, he had the hip replacement surgery – today he had leg and knee surgery”, Sabine Leavitt said.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic or white man, between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with a thin build and brown hair.
Police said one suspect was about 5-foot-10 and wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a black baseball-style hat. Don’t worry though. Despite bouncing off the hood of vehicle at 30 miles an hour and flipping up into the air, Tracy Leavitt survived the hit.
