Tottenham striker Harry Kane ready to prove last season was no fluke
The 22-year-old earned England recognition, scoring on his debut against Lithuania, and aims to prove he was no one-season wonder.
I can take a lot of confidence into this year, knowing that I can do it against the big teams and anyone in the Premier League.
Last season, Kane’s 21 league goals helped propel Spurs to fifth in the Premier League and the striker is now targeting a Champions League place in the 2015/2016 campaign.
Redknapp also struck an optimistic note about seeing a six-way battle for the top four spots in the league this year. For a young team that is a great experience.
Their selections do not make any sense when looked at in relation to the start of the Premier League season, and Harry Redknapp is correct to highlight the issues that exist with the friendlies.
“I think that we have very ambitious players now, the younger ones in the group, like Harry”.
Redknapp says he would not be happy if he was Mauricio Pochettino, while claiming Spurs will be delighted should they manage to get a point at Old Trafford.
Tottenham were without a win in the fixture for four games – a run stretching back to September 2013 – but two second-half goals from Kane turned the match around at White Hart Lane.
Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur play each other in semifinal of Audi Cup 2015. Any doubts about his commitment are gone. “We hope they show better quality than they did last season”.
“He is a big supporter of the club”. I’d think they’d play two different teams in Munich but away at Manchester United is a tough start for Spurs. He is young but he is very mature.
“That’s obviously down to the club to get that sorted, but wherever we play we’ll be happy and let’s hope we’ll get the job done”. He is in a very good way to become one of the best strikers in the world. “We need to keep this mentality”, the former Southampton boss added.
