Creator says Mariah Carey to guest-star on TV’s ‘Empire’
While honoring Carey at a presentation of the singer’s brand new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Daniels told a crowd of devoted lambs that they should be excited to watch the Grammy-winner on his hit FOX show, E! reported.
He said, “She is the queen”.
Taking the podium at the Hollywood ceremony, Daniels praised the singer, and let it slip that she is heading back to acting. However there was one one in that did not appear in that pleased about her achievement – son Moroccan. Mariah Carey finally received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday.
“I can’t thank you enough. Repeatedly”, he said. “I’m very excited to see where she goes on Empire“.
Carey, dressed in a long, black sleeveless sheath, took centre stage with her twins Monroe and Moroccan, thanking the special guests and fans for coming.
The illustrious ceremony was attended by the likes of Brett Ratner, L.A. Reid and Lee Daniels, who directed Mariah in 2009 film Precious. You’re melting my heart. “This is a huge honour and a dream come true”.
Carey joins previously announced Empire guest stars Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Chris Rock, Snoop Dogg, and Alicia Keys, among others, for the upcoming second season of the US drama.
