FB Launches New Private-Messaging Button for Businesses — Facebook News
Businesses using the site now have more ways to send private messages, through Messenger, to Facebook users who interact with businesses’ pages or ads.
Facebook’s new feature is designed to create a more direct channel of communication between businesses and users, especially when customers comment on a business’ page.
Facebook also hopes to showcase its social network messaging app to busineses, proving that advertising on Facebook has massive benefits and can lead to increased sales as well as heightened awareness of a brand.
First off, a “Send Message” button will start to pop up in various ads, which, as you can tell by yourself, will let customers send a PM to the company’s support staff, asking for various details about that specific product.
Now, should a person grass any comment throughout the Facebook site, the web page vendor can speak up confidentially via Messenger.
There are a few forms users will be able to distinguish which Page owners have access to this feature. Pages that respond to the vast majority of messages (90%) and have an average response time of less than five minutes will earn the badge “very responsive to messages” which will be added to their Page. When this happens, a little tag will appear on that comment signalling other visitors that the business owner has responded to the message privately.
Responsiveness ratings are dynamic and calculated based on data from the last seven days.
There is no other badge that shows “unresponsive” Pages, so there won’t be any public shaming on Facebook’s part toward business that opt not to use this new feature. Page admins also have the option to edit saved responses before they send them.
Announced immediately, Facebook’s changes are used to provide organizations on Facebook a better way during which to meet users.
