Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 gets a new cel-shaded look
The last time the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was shown off publicly was during E3 in June. The most interesting thing about them is probably the fact that they’ve changed the art style and it’s now focussed on cel-shading.
Whether or not the change will do enough to convince the people who have already decided that the new game has bailed before it’s even flipped its first ollie remains to be seen.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will go back to basics and will be more like the original games rather than the big, open world ones such as Tony Hawk’s Underground and Project 8. It certainly looks better than the PS2-look that it had before.
It’s quite surprising how Robomodo Games and Disruptive Games have managed to change the graphics of the game so fast.
The game is still scheduled to come out on PS4 and Xbox One from September 29th, 2015. It will then be released over a month later on November 10th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Hopefully the cel-shaded graphics are a sign the gameplay is great too. It had dated looking graphics, and looked a lot like Pro Skater 2 yet it felt like it was done on objective.
