Hatton Garden jewellery raid: Two more charged
Brenn Walters, known as Ben Perkins, 43, of Manor Court and Terri Robinson, 35, of Sterling Road, Enfield, were both bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 27.
In the dramatic raid, thieves broke into the vault at a safety deposit centre in Hatton Garden in April, where many shopkeepers had left their stock over the Easter holiday weekend, forcing open 73 secure boxes.
Scotland Yard said that a further three people – a 45-year-old man, 59-year-old woman and a 40-year-old woman – have also been interviewed under caution in connection with the investigation.
The men are also accused of conspiracy to hide, disguise, convert or transfer a quantity of jewellery and other items between 1 April and 19 May.
Brian Reader, 76, and Paul Reader, 50, both of Dartford Road, are amongst nine suspects charged with conspiracy to burgle who are set to enter their pleas at Woolwich Crown Court next month.
Thieves allegedly used specialist slicing gear to interrupt right into a vault at Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Ltd in London’s jewellery district.
The Met police later apologised for its lack of action when it failed to follow up a phone call from a security firm after an alarm went off at the building at midnight on Good Friday.
