World of Warcraft: Legion Revealed, Brings Demon Hunter Class, Much More
With new entries in nearly all of their major franchises (Destiny, Skylanders, Call of Duty, as well as Blizzard’s soon-to-be-announced World of Warcraft expansion, Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void, and Hearthstone: The Grand Tournament) on the way, along with the revival of Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, the next quarter should end up looking pretty good for them despite the big drop in subscribers.
The next major expansion for World of Warcraft has just been revealed, in the form of Legion, the biggest add-on yet, which includes a demon hunter class inspired by iconic character Illidan Stormrage, as well as a new level cap of 110, and much more. This year’s should be no exception. Once more, the Burning Legion is invading poor little Azeroth. This used to be a Night Elf civilisation, but was destroyed.
There will be 36 Artifacts – one available for each specialisation, with a lengthy quest chain that changes based on what you’re playing as. It’s here that you’ll be facing the Legion at the Tomb of Sargeras.
As its name suggests, the storyline brings back the Burning Legion faction and takes players to a whole new area called the Broken Isles.
As mentioned above, Blizzard is at Gamescom until Sunday 9 August, and will be hosting a number of challenges, quizzes and even concerts every day for those lucky enough to go along to the event (Hall 7, stands B042 A043, B051 C050, C051, C061, A060, B061 C060, B050 A051, and A050). Queen Azshara rocks up as well. In Legion, we’ll finally see the return of Valeera and Turalyon, who have since been missing since Warcraft II.
