Drake reunites with ‘Degrassi’ co-stars

Drake has never been afraid to speak on his past as a former child actor and takes pride in all of his accomplishments.

There was a reasonably epic Degrassi: The Next Generation reunion that Drake confirmed as much as on Wednesday, because of the premiere of net collection We Are Disorderly. “With the #tdot #king for a private screening of the incredible new web show!”

Drake starred as Jimmy Brooks on the teen drama series, a basketball star whose dreams of making it big are shattered when he (spoiler alert) gets shot. Insane to think he went from that to one of the top rappers in the music industry not long after he left the show, but we’re glad to see he hasn’t forgotten where he came from. Drake reunited Wednesday evening with former Degrassi peers Sean, Marco and Paige – otherwise known as Daniel Clark, Adamo Ruggiero and Lauren Collins.

We Are Disorderly is the work of fellow Degrassi actors Mazin Elsadig and Al Mukadam. But there were happier times for Jimmy too – like when he showed off his rap skills in front of the whole school and people loved it.
