Apprentice star Stuart Baggs’ died as a result of asthma
Stuart, best known for starring on The Apprentice, was found dead at his home on the Isle of Man on 30 July.
Today police said the Plymouth-born businessman, who had suffered with asthma his whole life, died as a result of the condition.
It reads: “Mr Baggs had suffered from asthma for many years and died as a result of his condition”.
She stressed the importance of people with asthma recognising the early warning signs and knowing what to do should symptoms get worse.
At 21, Mr Baggs was the youngest candidate to grace the BBC One show in 2010.
The postmortem on Stuart’s body – which was found by police after they were called to an address on Central Promenade in the island’s capital – was originally inconclusive, leading to unanswered questions about the reality TV star’s sudden death. At the time, he was then the youngest contestant to appear on the show and reached the semi-finals, bowing out of the competition at the gruelling interviews stage.
Following his death, Lord Alan Sugar paid tribute to Stuart, calling him “one of the stand out characters of the Apprentice“.
The news of what caused his tragic passing comes after friends, family and Apprentice fans expressed their shock at his loss.
Baggs, who recently turned 27, gave an interview to Isle of Man newspapers last week about his latest scheme to bring 4G broadband to the island.
It was initially suggested that stress and lack of sleep may have been contributing factors into his death as he’d been working 18 hour days with four hours sleep in the run up to his death.
