Ronda Rousey saved her trash talk for after UFC 190
Rousey defeated the challenger Bethe Correia in 34 seconds with a vicious knockout courtesy of a right hand to the temple.
However, she caused the champion serious offence shortly after the bout was announced in May when she said that Rousey could kill herself after losing the title.
Rousey, known best for armbar submission wins, pummeled Correia with her fists.
As she spoke to Fox Sports, Rousey mentioned about returning the favor during the post-fight press conference.
“Everything I said was very honest”. It was my point of view and what I believed in. I think I did a great job. The event was wonderful. “I planned to instead of trying to force a clinch, overwhelm her (by) striking first so that she would want to clinch first, and that’s exactly what happened”. “It wasn’t the result that I wanted, but I think everything that I said was something that I thought”, Correia said.
“I don’t regret anything“.
Anything you say against Ronda Rousey will be used against you.
“I hope that nobody really brings up my family anymore when it comes to fights”.
That is true. But people are witnessing this at the expense of any real sense of competition, which of course is not Rousey’s fault – at least not yet though that could change the longer she pushes off Cyborg, which is what she said she intends to do as she has designs on future opponents and Hollywood films. “I consider the matter settled”.
Rhonda Rousey defended her UFC title in under a minute again, and she told Bethe Correia not to cry after dealing her swift justice.
