Though thats not for loves sake, either, as its Annet Mahendrus Sveta, a victim of alien abduction, and Mulder says that she is the key to everything. The key to conspiracy-driven stuff, sure, but not to our hearts. At least we still have a while to get accustomed to the fact that one of our favorite on-screen duos wont be getting freaky beneath the UFO-filled sky, as The X-Files will return to Fox on Sunday, January 24, 2016.
I’m not sure if this is considered a spoiler or not, but EW just blasted out word that Mulder and Scully have split. A new X-Files film is going to lose a lot in translation, while a new X-Files series opens up the potential for the kinds of longer story arcs that fleshed out the show at its peak.
‘I do believe, ‘ he retorted. “As a story, it needs a sequel, a prequel, and Cliff Notes”.
The X-Files returns this winter on Fox. As you can see in the videos below, bodies are also being dragged, someone steps on the “I Want to Believe” poster, and Mulder and Scully are investigating something in these short previews. Mulder and Scully, no longer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, are nonetheless called in to help.
While these characters may not be romantically involved at the start of the season, it’s certainly possible that they could get back together at the end of this 6-episode run, perhaps as a tease for another miniseries event. It is the little moments that will likely change, along with some of the feelings and hopes that many fans have for what the show could contain in this capacity. Do extraterrestrials exist? To what extent is the government concealing the existence of aliens and other supernatural phenomena? She’s anxious about him, but he seems to think that he’s found the answer.
Okay, this is one more break-up than we can handle this week. It is that haunting open-endedness, that out there that drives the entire enterprise-that out there that sparked online message boards and fan conventions the world over.
