Ed Sheeran is Filling in For Justin Bieber at Fusion Festival 2015
Speaking after the news was announced, Damien Sanders – the event director for Fusion with Vimto – told the Sun: “This is incredible news, when Ed heard that Justin Bieber had pulled out he contacted us and offered to step in at the last minute, this is an unbelievable gesture from an all-round great guy and Ed really has saved the day, we are all eternally grateful”.
Ed Sheeran is to replace Justin Bieber as a headline act at Fusion Festival in Birmingham.
Justin Bieber has said he will “make it up” to UK fans, after dropping out of Birmingham’s Fusion Festival. It was just astonishing. The Prince’s Trust is a youth charity that helps vulnerable young people to turn their lives around.
On Tuesday, Justin spoke of his disappointment at not being able to perform in support of the organisation.
Justin came in for heavy criticism when he pulled out the festival, which supports The Prince’s Trust and claimed it was “unforseen circumstances” that meant he couldn’t attend. I look forward to the opportunity to give my UK Beliebers a great show in the near future, and hope to honor my commitment to the Prince’s Trust at that time.
But this afternoon (Aug. 6), Ed tweeted that he’s spontaneously added a new United Kingdom show to his tour this month – a performance at Wembley Arena – to graciously fill in for one of his “mates”.
Fusion Festival 2015 takes place on Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August at Cofton Park, Longbridge, Birmingham, a 135 acre site situated on the slopes adjoining the Lickey Hills Country Park.
He wrote: ‘To all my UK beliebers… No more after (sic).’.
